Today's professional services firm is a sufficiently complex organization that it can't possibly be managed without delegation downward to Practice Group Leaders. It's at this level that key functions must be executed such as HR management, CRM (client relationship management), and devising innovative services.
These are the challenges that I recently discussed with David Maister and Patrick McKenna (see the full text of my interview article on practice management issues that appeared in LEXPERT Magazine).
To assist professional services firms in meeting this challenge, I have joined with Mike Joyce, an experienced general management consultant and business advisor, to form JPT Consultants, a consultancy of specialists in the professional services sector.
